Please join ICAA Southeast for a luncheon to celebrate the launch of the third edition of American Classicist: The Architecture of Philip Trammell Shutze by Dr. Elizabeth Meredith Dowling published by Rizzoli International Publications in association with the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art Southeast Chapter.
This project has been a three-year endeavor of the Southeast Chapter Board to republish the first and only volume of the work of this seminal American architect. Originally published in 1989, and reissued in 2001, the 2022 edition includes a new introduction by the author and introduces the book to a new generation.
The luncheon will feature a lecture by Dr. Dowling titled The Enduring Legacy of Philip Shutze. A gathering time will precede the luncheon with ICAA Southeast members informally sharing the history of the storied East Lake Golf Club and the rooms designed by Philip Shutze.
Books are available for pre-purchase through this site for pick up the day of the event only. Books will also be available for purchase on-site the day of the event.
